During your child's first visit, you can expect a warm welcome and a kid-friendly experience, all designed to make their visit a positive and stress-free. We're here to ensure that your child's dental health journey starts off on the right foot!

what age should my child have their first visit?
This is the most common question we hear! We follow the guidelines the American Academy of Pediatrics, which recommends that children should see a dentist right when the first tooth cuts through the gums or no later than 6 months after their first tooth comes in! Now you may be thinking, that's really soon...
An early first visit is essential because it's an opportunity for your child to establish familiarity with the dental office environment and ensure their oral health is right on track. We check for any potential issues and also review the "normal" stuff! Our goal is to establish a strong foundation and foster a healthy relationship with their dental health.
During your child’s first visit, we will provide a gentle cleaning and fluoride treatment as well as a fear-free exam and x-ray experience. To make it even more fun, each dental chair is equipped with ceiling TVs to provide entertainment for your child! For the little ones (0-2 years), we may use the knee-to-knee technique (see image to the right) instead of the dental chair.
Following their exam, we create a personalized oral health plan that includes tips on brushing, flossing and eating right. Before they leave, they will get a toothbrush and a goodie bag to take home and put their skills to use!

We offer a personalized insurance benefits check on your first visit (and all other visits), so you will know exactly what your insurance covers before we treat your child. Should your child need any services beyond their routine check-ups, we will provide a tailored estimate based on your insurance policy and benefits.
